Registered Nurse RN PACU

As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post‑operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities include managing airway support, monitoring neurological and cardiac status, responding to complications, providing initial wound care, and ensuring patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team and be available for on‑call duties during select non‑business hours.
Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while managing evidence‑based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently provide safe nursing care.
Assess patient condition, monitor throughout the shift, and document changes thoroughly.
Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment, and follow‑up measures.
Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
Registered Nurse license in Missouri (or Compact).
No travel required.
