Position Overview
The Enrollment Counselor guides prospective students through the enrollment process, ensuring they achieve their educational goals while meeting the College’s recruitment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide in‑person and virtual admissions appointments and campus tours to prospective students.

Communicate with prospective students via phone, email, text, and other Galen systems.

Maintain continuous, detailed communication documentation in the student information system or CRM throughout the enrollment process.

Guide applicants through enrollment steps:

Submitting the application for admission

Collecting supporting documentation (grades, transcripts, test scores, etc.)

Scheduling entrance assessments, when needed

Co‑ordinating with the Office of Academic Records to evaluate and apply transfer credits

Collecting documentation for federal financial aid packages

Collaborating with the Financial Aid Office to award eligible federal financial aid

Co‑ordinating with the Office of Academic Records and Student Success for program advising and registration of first‑term classes

Supporting students to overcome enrollment delays or obstacles

Schedule enrollment appointments, provide estimated financial planning, and complete enrollment agreement and other required documents.

Participate in local high‑school, college, and career fairs and community marketing events as needed.

Assist in coordinating and participating in campus Open House, New Student Orientation, Graduation, and other college events.

Maintain confidentiality of all prospective student information in accordance with FERPA, Department of Education, accrediting agencies, and applicable laws.

Maintain current knowledge of college policies, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in development and training opportunities as requested by the College.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Experience:

Experience with Ellucian Recruit CRM or Colleague is helpful but not required.

Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication, customer‑service, teamwork, and dedication to achieving goals.

Special Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to access Department of Education websites (NSLDS, COD, CPS, etc.); no active student‑loan default history.

Physical/Dental:

Must sit at a desk for eight hours and be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends.

Supervision:

Minimal.
