Intern – Summer 2026 – Process Engineering

We are offering a Summer 2026 Process Engineering Intern position on the Production Engineering Team in Orangeburg, NY. The role is 100% on‑site and includes engaging with manufacturing processes, mentorship, professional development, and industry exposure.
Responsibilities
Work with the Process Engineering team to review new Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) designs and determine process steps for manufacturing PCBAs.
Interface with the Production Operations Team to deploy new process instructions and/or tools.
Program and operate automated soldering and automated depaneling (router) machines.
Use process troubleshooting tools to identify the root cause of assembly issues.
Document and communicate first‑time build results and opportunities for improvement.
General Requirements
Must be enrolled in a college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Must be commutable to and from the Orangeburg, NY area for the duration of the internship period.
Must have permanent, unrestricted work authorization in the United States now and in the future.
Technical Skills
Knowledge or experience in PTC Creo (Pro/E), SolidWorks, or related software.
Experience designing parts and creating engineering drawings (at school or prior internship).
Desire to learn about the PCBA manufacturing process.
Basic knowledge/understanding of electrical circuits is a plus.
Experience/working knowledge with Power Platform applications is a plus.

Strong communication skills (verbal, non‑verbal, written, and listening) with the ability to articulate work at different levels of the organization.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
