In addition, performs other higher-level tasks with supervision, operates hand‑held air, electric and hydraulic powered and non‑powered tools, and more complex equipment (swing scaffolds, epoxy pumps, air compressors, jackhammers, drills, etc.)

With supervision, tends machines that pump concrete, grout, cement, sand, plaster, or stucco through spray guns for application to ceilings and walls

Mixes cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry, using hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper, or concrete‑mixing machine

Builds wooden forms, and clamps forms around area to be repaired, using hand tools

Positions forms for pouring concrete, and dismantles forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts

Places, consolidates, and protects concrete or masonry structures

Wets surface to prepare for bonding

Fills holes and cracks with grout or slurry

Spreads, levels and smoothes concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float

Cleans, coats, seals, waterproofs or restores concrete surfaces, using appropriate compounds

Chips, scrapes, grinds, sands, or polishes spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools

Installs anchor bolts, steel plates, doorsills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete or pattern or stamps the surface to provide a decorative finish

Molds expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge

Erects and disassembles scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic, barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures

Performs routine maintenance and cleaning to vehicles and equipment such as engine oil filter change, cleaning of mortar mixers and shovels, installs plug ends on power cords, etc.

Lubricates, cleans and repairs machinery, equipment and tools

Accounts for all tools and light equipment (generators, floor saws, epoxy pumps, swing scaffold motors, etc.) in the performance of job duties

Cleans tools and stores them in secure and appropriate place upon completion of work shift (locks tools in gang box, chains and locks up generators, covers swing scaffold motors and ties down platforms)

Identifies, packs, and transports hazardous materials

Operates, reads, and maintains air monitoring and other sampling devices in confined and/or hazardous environments

Reads and interprets plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities

Loads, unloads, and identifies building materials, machinery and tools, and distributes them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications

Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards

Controls traffic passing near, in, and around work zones

Measures, marks and records openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed

Essential Safety Duties

Attends daily and weekly safety Tool Box meetings and participates in Jobsite Safety Analyses (JSA)

Performs work in strict compliance with jobsite/shop requirements and the Field Guide to Better Safety

Performs all work in compliance with Company's safety policies as well as industry standards

Assists team in ensuring jobsite/shop is maintained in a safe manner

Promotes 24/7 Safety Culture and exhibits a Safety 24/7 attitude in all situations

Reports immediately, accurately and in full detail all incidents

Is extremely safety conscious in all situations

Sets an example for others by demonstrating that safety is a core value

Wears all Personal Protection Equipment required by safety specifications

Physical Requirements

Able to pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator when required on specific jobsites

Performs physical activity that requires considerable use of arms, legs, and moving whole body

Performs physical activity that requires balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, reaching

Performs physical activity such as climbing ladders/scaffolding

Able to move your hand, hand and arm together, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, assemble objects

Able to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or holding arm and hand in one position

Able to coordinate two or more limbs while sitting, standing, or lying down

Able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50lbs without assistance

Able to handle and utilize various tools and equipment

Physical capability to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment

Able to speak and hear detailed information through oral communication

Has visual acuity to see items clearly and sharply and to recognize small detail

Able to pass Pulmonary Function / Fit Test

Special Requirements

Willing to work from project site up to 100%

Willing to work 50-55 hour per week and have flexible work hours

Willing to work at heights up to 650 feet off the ground

Can provide reliable transportation to and from the jobsite daily

Willing to work whenever/wherever needed, including night shift, out of town, etc
