
Program Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
to serve in a supervisory role within a program supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. This position combines direct clinical work with team leadership, ensuring high-quality, client-centered services while guiding staff in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of NYC’s homeless services system along with proven management or leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical supervision and day-to-day guidance to case managers, outreach staff, and support personnel
Oversee program operations to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with city and agency standards
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized service plans
Support clients with crisis intervention, housing placement, and long-term stabilization
Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and support professional development
Ensure timely, accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with external partners including shelters, hospitals, and community-based organizations
Lead case conferences and contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
Active LMSW license in New York State
2–4+ years of experience working with homeless or vulnerable populations
Prior supervisory, lead, or management experience preferred
Strong understanding of NYC housing systems, public benefits, and community resources
Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis intervention skills
Ability to thrive in high-pressure, high-need environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in street outreach, shelter systems, or supportive housing programs
Familiarity with case management systems such as CARES or AWARDS
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) strongly preferred
