
TECH - MRI-Full-Time Nights

Performs a variety of MRI and diagnostic imaging procedures and is responsible for patient and employee safety protocols. This position functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. This position participates in continuous quality improvement activities as it relates to the hospital and the American College of Radiology.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns and to patients.
Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure – makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
Two year of radiological/imaging experience.
Prefer specific experience and training in MRI. Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment.
ARRT license required.
Current BCLS certification.
Required to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.
