General Job Description & Responsibilities
Primary responsibility: ensuring patients receive the best quality of care at all times.
Review physicians' prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
Educate patients on corrective lens options and help them choose an option that fits medical needs and lifestyle preferences
Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
Achieve sales goals and quotas determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
Communicate with physicians regarding questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear
Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits
Experience & Skills
Good organizational and multitasking abilities
Coachable - open to feedback and continual improvement
Flexible and adaptable
Professional phone and office etiquette required
Optical experience is preferred but not required - we will train the right person
