Your Role on the Team
Position Summary: Orientates to the planning and provision of nursing care to patients in the step down unit. Accurately interprets ECG rhythm and manages care of patients during life threatening emergencies in population served. Orientates to the supervision and delegation of care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Current California Registered Nurse license.

AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Complete of Critical Care Course.

Required cardiovascular nursing knowledge of skills applicable to the care of post‑coronary intervention and open heart patients during their rehab & discharge phase of their hospitalization.

Excellent observation skills, good nursing judgement/critical thinking, and oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work with multiple tasks in a team setting utilizing interpersonal, organizational and prioritizing skills.

Able to supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel in proportion with their scope of practice
