Acadian HomeCare of Lafayette, part of LHC Group and the Optum family, invites qualified candidates to apply for the Office Assistant position. The role supports leadership with routine clerical, office, and computer-related tasks such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and workflow processing.
Primary Responsibilities
Assists with routine clerical and office tasks, answers telephone calls, and delivers messages.
Pulls, reviews, and follows up on reports of order recertifications and unverified visits.
Maintains an up-to-date medical record by scanning documents promptly and completing EOE audits as appropriate.
Completes discharge chart reviews, performs audits, processes orders to/from physicians, and tracks timely receipt.
Communicates professionally within the organization and with external sources (physicians, patients, family members, referral sources, etc.).
Required Qualifications
Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
Computer skills, clerical-business machine skills, telephone communication skills, and ability to type.
General clerical and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Salary & Benefits
Pay is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $14.00 to $28.80 for full-time employment. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions (subject to eligibility). We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
