As a key member of the Regulatory Affairs team, the Personal Care Products Regulatory Specialist ensures full compliance with FDA, IFRA, and customer requirements governing the use of flavors in personal care categories including Oral Care, Cosmetics, and OTC/Medical Device applications.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure regulatory compliance for raw materials, formulas, and finished products within personal care categories.

Review, evaluate, and approve formulations and ingredients in alignment with IFRA, FDA, and EU cosmetic regulations.

Manage and maintain EHS system parameters consistent with industry, regulatory, and customer standards.

Prepare and submit regulatory documentation to customers and governmental agencies.

Provide day‑to‑day regulatory and safety guidance to Flavorists and R&D teams during oral care product development.

Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory and safety communications with customers and suppliers.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance digital regulatory systems and documentation workflows.

Perform additional assignments as directed by management with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.

Level of Independence
Operates with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgment.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, or related field preferred).

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in regulatory affairs or product safety, ideally within the flavor or fragrance industry.

Demonstrated expertise in IFRA Standards, FDA, and EU cosmetic regulations.

Special Skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and convey complex regulatory requirements.

Strong computer proficiency: able to partner with IT to design, implement, and optimize regulatory systems.
