About the Role
A growing Japanese food import startup is seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator to support end-to-end supply chain and inventory operations. The company imports popular Japanese food products and distributes them to grocery retailers. After successfully building its foundation in its first year, the company is now entering an exciting growth phase! This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership in a startup environment and help establish scalable operational systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full order lifecycle, including purchase orders, inbound shipments, and order fulfillment for retail clients
Support ERP system implementation and serve as a day-to-day user, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity
Coordinate with Japanese suppliers on ordering, lead times, and shipment schedules
Oversee inventory control, including stock level monitoring, replenishment planning, and cycle counts
Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics partners to manage import shipments and customs documentation
Prepare operational reports and analyze data to support decision-making and process improvements
Ensure compliance with food import regulations, including FDA requirements and FSMA guidelines
What We’re Looking For
Bilingual in English and Japanese
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations coordination
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Analytical mindset with experience in data reporting and process improvement
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
