Facilities Manager – Northwest Specialty Hospital
Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services at its new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave., Northwest Reno.

The Facilities Manager will oversee the Plant Engineering department, manage maintenance, repairs and ensure regulatory compliance for electrical, mechanical, HVAC and other building systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Director to develop long- and short-term departmental goals aligned with hospital objectives.

Educate staff on departmental and hospital operations, policies and procedures.

Provide oversight of regulatory compliance, monitoring and reporting status periodically to ensure readiness for TJC, Fire Marshal, State of Nevada, etc.

Manage staffing functions including recruitment, selection, training, mentoring, corrective action and termination in adherence to hospital HR policies; assess and appraise staff performance and productivity.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)

5+ years previous hospital management experience preferred

Experience or working knowledge in all aspects of building trades, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
