Major Gift Officer
Nonprofit Connect, Kansas City, MO, United States
Kanbe’s Markets is a quickly‑growing 501(c)(3) organization fighting food insecurity and mitigating large‑scale food waste by rescuing perfectly good food that would otherwise be headed to the landfill. We redirect this food into low‑access communities through partnerships with over 125 local small food retailers and 60+ community organizations. Over the past 10 years, we have redirected millions of pounds of food and reinvested more than $300,000 back into the local community through a unique revenue‑sharing model. Today we serve approximately 530,000 Kansas City residents with fresh food access.
