What You’ll Do
The Inventory Control Supervisor will facilitate the inventory and quality control programs within the RDC. Inventory control consists of cycle counts of merchandise, completing recalls of discontinued or defective merchandise, and proper merchandising of the DC through analysis of sales, size, weight, and category. Quality control consists of various quality checks throughout the DC processes, from checking outbound order selection, return accuracy, shipping accuracy, and inbound receiving and put‑away accuracy.

Leadership

Supervise and coordinate the activities of Inventory Control associates.

Train, mentor, and evaluate Inventory Control associates to ensure high performance and adherence to standards.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service) to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.

Determine staffing needs, schedule personnel, and assign job duties.

Interview, hire, and train new associates.

Implement succession planning for self and other critical roles on the team.

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Operations

Administer cycle count, audit, and inventory validation programs to ensure inventory accuracy.

Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, including receiving, shipping, return, overage, and shortage issues.

Analyze inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.

Manage location control, slotting, replenishment, and consolidation activities within the DC.

Support Shipping, Transportation, and Will Call operations, including PM shipments and priority order execution.

Ensure critical shipments are completed and provide effective shift handoff to Shipping leadership.

Lead inventory‑related continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.

Track, analyze, and report inventory and quality KPIs to DC and regional leadership.

Manage, coach, and develop Inventory Control (IC/QC) associates, focusing on productivity, quality, and safety.

Develop future leaders within Inventory Control and support broader DC leadership development.

Partner with branch, regional, and DC leadership to resolve inventory, shipping, and procedural issues.

Maintain standardized inventory processes, documentation, and system integrity.

Perform maintenance, housekeeping, and other job‑related duties as required.

What You’ll Bring
Education and experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, 2 years in inventory control role.

Requirements

Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.

Ability to add and subtract units of measurement, using whole numbers.

Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Exercises safety in all aspects of carrying out job responsibilities.

Use of personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toed or composite shoes) as required for the assigned work area.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) in South Florida Region.
