Part-Time Receiver Processing Specialist

Division: Operations - Material Handling
Reports To: Supervisor, Receiver Processing
Salary Range: $20 - $25 per hour, negotiable based on education and experience
Basic Purpose
The Part-Time Receiver Processing Specialist plays a key role in the auditing and billing of inbound freight charges, ensuring that all materials received are accurately billed and documented. This position directly supports material handling revenue accuracy and contributes to the financial health of the organization. The role requires strong attention to detail, digital fluency with Salesforce, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
Material handling charges represent a significant portion of company revenue, and this role is critical in identifying errors, questioning inconsistencies, and closing information gaps to ensure accurate billing. The Receiver Processing Specialist directly contributes to the financial health of the organization by ensuring that all applicable charges are properly reviewed, validated, and billed.
Essential Job Duties
Use Salesforce to search, audit, and validate Receiver Headers.
Audit and reconcile freight documentation against Salesforce records including:
Freight photos
Bills of lading
Warehouse live receivers
Reweigh tickets
Validate receiving reports for accuracy and ensure all charges are accounted for.
Verify dates of receipt, recorded weights, late arrivals, off-target shipments, and discrepancies.
Identify and flag missing or unclear information, escalating issues proactively.
Question any charges or details that appear inaccurate or incomplete.
Maintain clear records to ensure billing integrity and audit readiness.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring discrepancies and recommending process updates.
Collaborate with team members to resolve freight and billing discrepancies.
Escalate suspected discrepancies or policy violations to supervisors promptly.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with internal stakeholders.
