Next Generation Recruitment and Staffing Agency, Chevy Chase, MD, United States

Housekeeper

As a member of the housekeeping team at the Courtyard by Marriott Bethesda Chevy Chase, you are the cornerstone of our guest experience. Each day, you will clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas according to Marriott standards: making beds, refreshing bathrooms, replenishing amenities, and ensuring every detail is ready to welcome guests.
Your work directly influences the impression guests carry with them long after they check out. Our property, with 226 rooms, caters to a steady flow of business travelers, government visitors, and families exploring the D.C. metropolitan area.
Located just steps from the Friendship Heights Metro Station, you will be part of a collaborative team that prides itself on maintaining a clean, welcoming, and sustainable environment.
You will clean and service assigned rooms: making beds, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and mopping floors according to brand standards. Replenish all room amenities including towels, linens, toiletries, coffee supplies, and informational materials.
Immediately report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the cleaning supervisor.
Attend to guest requests (extra towels, pillows, or supplies) with a friendly and timely response.
Maintain cleanliness in hallways, elevators, lobbies, the gym, pool area, and other public spaces as assigned.
Organize and maintain your cleaning cart, ensuring adequate supply levels and cleanliness throughout your shift.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and LEED sustainability protocols: proper chemical handling, waste sorting, and linen reuse programs.
Previous cleaning experience is preferred; hotel experience is a plus, but we will train the right person. Great attention to detail and pride in delivering consistently clean and well-presented rooms. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and lift up to 25 lbs (approx. 11 kg) for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. A friendly and professional attitude; comfortable greeting guests warmly if encountered in hallways or rooms. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a great asset, though not required.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all associates, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
