Administrative Assistant - Tidewater Region

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support operations under a Federal Protective Service (FPS) contract. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work within a secure federal environment while supporting mission-critical administrative functions. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and experienced in handling sensitive information in compliance with federal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating appointments
Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a timely and professional manner
Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and database management
Coordinate office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
Support team members with various administrative tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of older
Must be a US Citizen
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar tools
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to pass a background check and pre employment drug screen
Preferred Skills
Experience with scheduling software or project management tools
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
