Painter Full Time, Days
$19-21/Hour
Join our dedicated team at Brothers of Mercy, where you'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. As a Painter, you'll perform painting, patching, and wall-covering tasks throughout the facility to ensure a high-quality and comfortable atmosphere.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
Perform painting, patching, and wall covering for walls, ceilings, woodwork, furniture, and other surfaces
Prepare surfaces by washing, sanding, priming, and filling cracks/holes as needed to ensure proper finish and adhesion
Maintain all painting-related equipment and supplies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation
Assist in coordinating painting projects and completing preventative maintenance assignments
Keep all work/storage areas clean, orderly, and hazard-free
Follow all safety standards, using appropriate protective equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks
Collaborate with the Director of Plant Operations and other team members to complete daily and project-based work assignments

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in painting, wall covering, and finishing techniques required
Knowledge of painting tools, equipment, and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Must be able to bend, lift, stand, and move intermittently throughout the day
