Position: Merchandising Manager, Leathergoods

Reports to: Director, Merchandising – Leathergoods

Job Purpose
Responsible for supporting the Leather Goods team in managing the business strategy for the Americas Boutiques. Main responsibilities include reporting and recaps, supporting the buying process, product tool creation, competitive market analysis, allocation, and distribution of Women’s Leathergoods in accordance with total company vision.

Job Responsibilities
Merchandising Functions:

Review and complete weekly sales reports: Generate a variety of Excel based reports; store and business recaps, ensure tracking to sales targets

Manage and follow up daily on product shipping and deliveries

Communicate and partner closely with Retail teams to manage day to day product inquiries and present weekly business updates on Retail calls

Participate and share new ideas to drive LG business strategy

Assist with bi-monthly stock rebalances to maximize sales and sell-thru

Analyze the Leather Goods market monthly and prepare comprehensive recaps on competitive pricing, trends, market activities, and events

Create and manage seasonal launch tools: buy book creation, manage photo and selling tools, ensure client orders are filled accurately, strategically adjust allocations to match reservation needs

Support assortment for new store openings and pop ups

Review shipping reports to ensure seasonal merchandise is shipping on-time, and reorder replenishment is shipping in a timely manner

Manage and update replenishment levels by style and boutique level

Participate in 4 seasonal markets in Paris/Virtual Market

Assist in premarket analysis: by store and classification. Identify opportunities within each region. Present strategy to Leathergoods Team.

Aggregate boutique feedback before and after collection is presented

Assist in defining store assortment by product category and by store cluster

Remain positive, energetic, and organized while meeting tight deadlines during high-paced and demanding buying sessions

Review sales results on Advertising campaigns, catalogue and product highlights

Assist in markdown preparations (provide recommendation of styles to markdown)

Reporting Functions:

Prepare and provide analysis on fast/slow sellers and sell-thru report i>
Prepare and compile seasonal collection feedback for stores

Hindsight end of season (EOS) product analysis and recaps

Support Merchandising team on weekly reporting across categories

Skills and Competencies

Requirements

At least 5 years prior Merchandising/Buying or Supply Chain experience, luxury retail Women’s experience preferred; strong working knowledge of Retail Math and Retail KPIs

Advanced Excel (heavy excel workload)

Ability for domestic and international travel

Strong knowledge of all other Microsoft Office programs, specifically excellent skills in PowerPoint

Profile
The selected candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $110,000 - $125,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
