Join the CB Finance team, in partnership with business managers, strategy, and other finance teams, and lead the business and financial analytics for CB and each of its segments and industries. Be part of a team that provides analyses that lead to public disclosure associated with the business' strategy, financial performance, and industry trends for the Firm's presentations at Earnings, Investor Day, and industry conferences

As a Finance and Business Management Associate on the CB Finance team, you will be responsible for running business and financial analytics and reporting to senior members of the CB sub line of business. You will be expected to create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc) and conduct "deep dive" analyses on key issues impacting clients to determine root cause and propose solutions. Additionally, you will support senior leadership through reporting and creation of insightful presentations as well as partnering on budgeting and forecasting. You will also take part in building, maintaining, and reviewing recurring and ad hoc financial models and analyses, as well as conducting deep-dive analyses on key client issues to identify root causes and develop actionable solutions

Job responsibilities

Assist with the dialogue with senior business leadership as well as stakeholders across the Commercial Bank to provide information on business trends, financial performance, market strategy, competitive landscape and industry trends

Assist with senior business leader presentations including Executive Management Reports, Quarterly Business Reviews, Investor Day, Town Halls, and CFO offsites

Support the quarterly earnings processes

Partner on budgeting and monthly forecasting, analyzing and clearly articulating revenue, expense and balance sheet variances vs actuals

Develop, consolidate, and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for key internal clients including senior management

Conduct "deep dive" analyses on key issues impacting clients/business to determine root cause and propose solutions

Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and the "so what, now what?" dialogue

The Associate will also have exposure to senior management and the opportunity to drive value-add change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support

Required Qualifications, skills, and capabilities

BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting and corporate finance

2+ years of related experience

Experience in corporate financial analytics / understanding of key financial statement drivers

Exceptional analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker

Excellent oral & written communication and relationship management skills

Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint; Prior Paragon experience preferred

Prior experience with automation tools a plus (Python, Sigma, Co-pilot)
