Project Manager
Salem, OR – Hybrid – Only Locals
5 months contract
We are seeking candidates who do not require visa sponsorship and are eligible to work on a W2. Program will only accept LOCAL ONLY candidates for this position. The role will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) required to be onsite.
Required:
8+ years of experience in project management
PMP certification (required) or equivalent project management certification; Scrum Master certification is a plus.
Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or lead a team to get the job done.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of experience in managing projects with implementations across large organizations; developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts, devise solutions to complex problems, and prepare concise reports.
Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and facilitating the SDLC process.
Ability to maintain strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders; excellent communication and presentation skills.
Capability to appropriately summarize and elevate issues, develop and present weekly status updates, and conduct regular project team meetings.
Experience working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Experience with Agile methodology, tracking development progress, ensuring project assignments align with timelines.
Agile experience managing feature‑driven sprints.
Experience leading and driving multi‑million dollar software and IT projects.
Preferred: Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for one or more State of Texas Agencies.
Preferred: Prior experience in healthcare or public health.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, budget, and oversee project execution.
Document all project aspects and maintain project artifacts.
Manage risks, issues, and contingency plans.
Provide regular status updates and conduct team meetings.
Ensure alignment of project tasks with overall timelines.
