Job Summary
Oldcastle Infrastructure is looking for a design technician to create detailed technical drawings for the manufacturing of precast concrete structures. Using in-house software, they will design shop drawings that guide manufacturing. Responsibilities include preparing drawings, reviewing project documents, and coordinating with team members.
Job Location
This position is based in our office in Jacksonville, FL.
Job Responsibilities
Preparing submittal drawings and production drawings for precast concrete components like storm water catch basins, drop inlets, sanitary manholes as well as specialty structures
Reviewing and analyzing construction documents, including specifications and addenda
Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other drafters to ensure accuracy and consistency of designs
Checking drawings for errors, inconsistencies, and adherence to project requirements and industry standards
Making necessary changes to drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, or the production team.

Job Requirements
General understanding of construction principles and manufacturing process
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office Programs (word, excel, outlook)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Technical or Associate degree in Construction or Design preferred
