We are partnered with a
leading, nationally recognized construction contractor
to identify a
Senior Estimator
to support major projects in the Seattle market. This is a senior‑level estimating role offering long‑term growth, exposure to complex work, and the opportunity to influence pursuit strategy on high‑profile projects.
Role Overview
The Senior Estimator will lead the estimating process for large, complex construction projects and play a key role in preconstruction planning, bid strategy, and risk assessment. This individual will collaborate closely with operations, preconstruction, and leadership teams to ensure competitive, accurate, and well‑structured bids.
Key Responsibilities
Lead full‑cycle estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission
Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs, cost models, schedules, and bid analyses
Evaluate drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risk, and cost drivers
Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and project leadership on bid strategy and pricing approach
Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing
Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and alternative pricing scenarios
Participate in client presentations and internal bid reviews as required
Mentor junior estimators and support team development initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
4–12+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a large general contractor or CM
Strong background in commercial, institutional, or infrastructure construction
Experience estimating projects ranging from mid‑size to large‑scale, complex builds
Proficiency with industry estimating tools and software
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
