Role Overview
The Journeyman Registered Ultrasonographer is involved with day-to-day Ultrasound Department operations located within Diagnostic Imaging. The sonographer requires minimal supervision, performs diagnostic medical sonograms both general and vascular, provides quality patient care, and assumes responsibility for all ultrasound services offered. This position works closely and communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, lead sonographer, manager, Radiologists, providers, and all other clinic/hospital staff to ensure the highest quality of care to our patients. The employee will assist the Core Leader in meeting department goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Daily operations of the Ultrasound Department, including performing diagnostic general and vascular sonograms, maintaining quality patient care, and ensuring compliance with department protocols. Coordinate with physicians, radiologists, and other staff to facilitate patient services. Assist in meeting department goals and objectives under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an Ultrasound program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiologic Technology Education JRCRTE or equivalent education/experience.
National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire or National Registered Technologist - Sonography upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $37.69 - $58.50 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
