Opening Summer 2026 at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL.

Combining the collective strengths of two powerhouse organizations, Orlando Health and the high‑quality physicians at Watson Clinic are expanding access to award‑winning specialty care for patients in Polk County and beyond.
Opening in Summer 2026, Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital – a state‑of‑the‑art, seven‑story, multi‑specialty hospital – will serve as a vital 550,000 square‑foot healthcare hub offering:
300+ inpatient beds and 69 emergency and observation beds
11 operating rooms and four cardiac interventional suites
Dedicated labor and delivery services – including a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) that will debut shortly after the hospital opens
Comprehensive cardiovascular, neurology, and oncology services
Advanced surgical procedures

Responsibilities
Write orders per policy.
Counsel patients and/or significant others on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selections, considering cultural, religious, and ethnic requests/preferences.
Develop, implement, and document the nutritional care plans based on assessment of patient nutritional needs considering nutrition status and disease state requirements.
Demonstrate the necessary competency level to assess patient’s nutritional requirements and specific needs over the lifespan.
Demonstrate evidence‑based knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for appropriate nutrition‑related care of patients.
Communicate appropriate dietary history and nutritional care data through the medical record documentation system. Participate in physician and health care team interdisciplinary rounds, as applicable.
The Registered Dietitian is expected to adhere to Orlando Health policies, procedures, guidelines, mission and vision statements, and commitment to excellence.
Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Represent Orlando Health through outside speaking engagements to the community and/or media events as assigned.
Represent Clinical Nutrition Department as a participant on task force or committee as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited university or college and coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Licensure/Certification
Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Must maintain licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist with the State of Florida
