Making media. (20%)
Culturing fungi. (10%)
Extracting DNA and conducting PCR. (20%)
Thrashing seed. (20%)
Planting seed. (20%)
Collecting field data. (10%)
Position Summary
Conduct laboratory, greenhouse and field work including making media, culturing fungi, extracting DNA, conducting PCR, planting seed, and collecting data.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification
Completed two years of high school.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Some experience in field work and lab work.
Physical Demands
Work outdoors in heat and lift up to 25 pounds.
