Candlewood Suites St. Charles is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Night Auditor to join our team at our extended stay hotel. This role is responsible for overnight front desk operations, daily financial reconciliation, and ensuring guest needs are met during the night shift. The Night Auditor plays a key role in balancing hotel revenue, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent guest service during overnight hours.
Responsibilities
Perform overnight front desk duties, including guest check-in and check-out
Audit, verify, and reconcile daily financial transactions and guest folios
Ensure accurate posting of room charges, taxes, payments, and adjustments
Balance daily revenue reports and prepare end-of-day documentation
Handle guest requests, concerns, and emergencies during overnight hours
Maintain security of the property by monitoring the lobby and building during overnight shifts
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for early morning guest needs or issues
Ensure all systems are properly closed and rolled into the next business day
Follow all IHG brand standards and front desk procedures consistently
Maintain accurate records in the property management system
Communicate effectively with management regarding overnight activity or issues
Perform accurate billing checks and resolve discrepancies prior to running the night audit
Maintain the cleanliness of all public areas during overnight hours
Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and IHG brand standards
Qualifications
Previous front desk, accounting, or hotel experience preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numbers and billing
Basic computer and property management system skills preferred
Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
Ability to remain alert and professional during nighttime hours
