Responsibilities

Organize events and student activities, including scheduling space, arranging vendors, ensuring compliance with university and SIS policy, and obtaining necessary resources and supplies.

Provide course support, such as ordering books and class supplies, finding classroom space, and coordinating section assignments.

Coordinate complex speaker events or travel arrangements in collaboration with the business team, in compliance with university policies; may require occasional work outside normal business hours.

Process financial transactions, including honoraria, pcards, and travel.

Uphold policies relevant to financial and administrative processes.

Manage purchasing and distribution of program supplies.

Support the backend logistics of residential programs, such as setting up building access, coordinating with building managers for facility projects, granting meal swipes for lecturers, and working with classroom technology for any technical issues.

Collaborate with programs to create student outreach material, help maintain program‑specific website content and social media platforms.

Identify and resolve administrative problems.

Guide and train students in handling program‑specific tasks (when needed).

Qualifications

High school diploma and four years of administrative experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.

Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects while keeping key stakeholders informed.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and assign work to others.

Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.

Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.

Constantly perform desk‑based computer tasks; frequently sit.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in student residences and working with faculty preferred.

Ability to direct the work of others, for jobs requiring supervision.

Experience with residential program coordination (e.g., ITALIC or SLE).

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Occasionally stand/walk, reach/operate above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds. Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.

Pay Range
$39.20 to $45.56 per hour.
