The Claims Advocate (Property & Casualty) serves as a strategic advisor to clients throughout the claims process, ensuring efficient resolution, cost-effective outcomes, and a best‑in‑class client experience. This role partners closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to proactively manage claims, influence outcomes, and protect client interests. The ideal candidate is analytical, client‑focused, and confident navigating complex claims while building strong relationships across all stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing
Serve as the primary advisor to clients throughout the lifecycle of a claim, from initial reporting through resolution
Advocate on behalf of clients with insurance carriers and adjusters to drive fair, timely, and cost‑effective outcomes
Analyze claims activity, reserves, and loss trends to identify risks and opportunities for cost containment
Review policy coverage and claims documentation to ensure alignment with coverage intent and accuracy
Lead and participate in claim review meetings with clients and carriers, providing strategic insights and recommendations
Partner with producers and account teams to support client retention and enhance the overall client experience
Provide proactive, clear communication to clients regarding claim status, expectations, and next steps
Identify and elevate complex or high‑exposure claims, helping drive resolution strategy
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all claim activity and communications
Stay informed on industry trends, carrier practices, and regulatory changes impacting claims

Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel for communication, documentation, and reporting
Experience with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic) or similar platforms
Ability to document and track claims activity accurately within internal systems
Comfortable using digital communication tools including email, virtual meetings, and document platforms
Key Skillset:
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess claim strategy and challenge outcomes when needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence and negotiate with carriers and adjusters
Strong relationship‑building skills with both clients and internal stakeholders
Emotional intelligence and ability to manage sensitive or high‑pressure situations
Proactive, solution‑oriented approach to problem‑solving
Strong organizational and time‑management skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously
Qualifications:
Adjuster license and/or industry designation (AIC, ARM) preferred
2–5 years of experience in claims handling, insurance brokerage, or carrier environment
Strong understanding of Property & Casualty coverages and claims processes
Experience working with insurance carriers, adjusters, and clients
Ability to analyze claims data, reserves, and loss trends
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
