Pay range:
$19 – $26 per hour. The range reflects the budget for this position; final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, and other job‑related factors.
Description
Community Health Connections (CHC) is a multi‑site, non‑profit health care center offering urgent care, primary family medical care, pediatric care, preventative and restorative dental care, oral surgery, behavioral health services for children and adults, substance use disorder treatment, optometry, acupuncture, nutrition consultations, and podiatry. CHC is mission‑driven, providing compassionate, quality health care regardless of income or health insurance status. CHC operates five sites within Fitchburg, Gardner and Leominster, serving 36 communities in North Central Massachusetts as a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
Prepare patients for visits and record vital signs.
Assist with routine physical examinations, including patient and equipment preparation.
Assist in preparing patients and performing selected screening tests (e.g., urine dipsticks).
Prepare routine diagnostic request forms.
Book patients for tests and appointments with outside facilities.
Assist with lifting, handling, and supporting patients, up to 40 lb.
Perform other job‑related duties as required.
Demonstrate commitment to CHC’s mission and Values.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Medical Assistant certification preferred).
Bilingual in Spanish and/or Hmong preferred.
Experience in a medical office environment.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
CPR certification.
Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced medical office.
Preferred Qualifications
Medical office experience.
Accurate data entry.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Team player; detail oriented; enthusiastic.
