
Summer 2026 Internship- Golf Tournament Operations-FREE TRAVEL and HOUSING

Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of HJGT Tournament Directors and Staff Members, interns will learn how to operate golf tournaments through active involvement in all aspects of tournament operations, from course setup to breakdown. The internship includes extensive traveling across the country, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, California, Arizona, New Jersey, and North Carolina. When not traveling, interns receive business operations training provided by the Senior Leadership team.
Requirements
Pursuing a degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related fields.
This is an unpaid internship; interns must receive at least one credit for the onsite experience from an accredited college/university.
Must be in good standing with your college/university.
Responsibilities
Provide extensive customer service to players and families.
Set up and prepare tournament sites: marking courses, setting tee and hole locations, scoreboard and utility setup.
Start and score players, officiate on-course rules, manage pace of play.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Experience & Skills
Knowledge of golf (preferred).
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Attention to detail.
Goal‑oriented and result driven.
