Responsibilities
Meridell Achievement Center is a 134‑bed, seclusion‑free psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. The 60‑acre campus features mature oaks, rolling hills, walking paths, and outdoor spaces. It includes 7 living units separated by gender, age, and developmental needs, a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court, and playing fields. The facility provides 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old, utilizing customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to help patients moderate their behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning.

We are looking for 2 talented House Supervisors to work 4 ten‑hour shifts each week. Days will be Sunday‑Wednesday or Wednesday‑Saturday.
Job Description
The House Supervisor is a member of the Nursing Leadership Team and provides administrative and clinical responsibility for the functioning of nursing services for the facility in the absence or as directed by the DON/CNO. The House Supervisor also provides administrative guidance and oversight for the entire campus and departments when department managers are off site.
Job Duties
Provide leadership and role modeling for assigned staff.
Supervise direct patient care, assessments and crisis management.
Ensure environmental safety for the patient population.
Provide training and education to staff, patients, and families.

Qualifications
Education/Training
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Experience
One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred.
One year of progressive experience in management and/or supervision preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Current Registered Nurse license
Current driver’s license
Current CPR certification
CPI certification
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients.
Knowledge of milieu management.
Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side‑effects.
Ability to safely implement treatment procedures.
Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.
