$36.00 - $39.00/hour

Summary of Job:

The Registered Nurse (RN) position oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served. The RN also serves as clinical liaison for designated individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Care & Advocacy:

Coordinates services with various public and private community health, mental health and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals.

Assists individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process.

Conducts assessments and treatment plans.

Provides individual and family counseling.

Participates in the development of educational curriculum.

Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring, such as diabetes and blood pressure.

Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed.

Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services including pharmacy and laboratory services.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Administers medication as required by protocol.

Completes clinical documentation as required.

Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they currently exist and as they change.

Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as outlined in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes, and medical care.

Job Requirements

Education/Licenses:

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Valid and current state-specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred).

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.

Skills:

Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions, and interactions.

Basic computer skills.

Attention to detail.

Problem solving.

Conduct assessments and treatment plans.

Verbal and written communication.

Effective listening skills.

Excellent documentation skills.

Trauma‑informed care experience preferred.

Bilingual preferred.

Must be able to pass de‑escalation training, as defined by state requirements.

Driving Requirements:

If driving is required, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations’ driving policy.

If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed.

Miscellaneous Requirement(s):

Travel required based on business need.

Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement.

Successful completion and meet all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process if applicable.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility. May have contact with individuals who are agitated and/or confused. Work may include travel throughout the geographic region.
