Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager, the Respiratory Therapy Tech is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician orders, department policies and procedures. The Respiratory Therapy Tech administers respiratory care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, performs diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders.
What you will do in this role
You will demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her age‑specific needs.
You will demonstrate knowledge to assess, plan, and evaluate care in coordination with the health care team across the continuum.
You will assess patients/families ability to learn and incorporate teaching throughout hospitalization and in preparation for discharge.
You will deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
Qualifications you will need
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
National Certification (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist.
Associate Degree.
KY License: CRT‑State Certified Respiratory Therapist, or RRT/RCP‑State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.
