Job Summary and Qualifications
The House Supervisor assumes shift accountability for the clinical and administrative functions of the hospital including patient throughput, nurse staffing, transfer of patients in and out and overall supervision of nursing practice. The House Supervisor also facilitates collaboration across departments and is available as a resource to all staff members working in the hospital for night shift, weekends and holidays. The incumbent must demonstrate knowledge of hospital administration, nursing services, clinical services, and information technology and customer relations. The House Supervisor serves as the nursing and hospital representative and engages with all other department heads in ensuring high quality patient care and customer service. The incumbent is accountable for overall fiscal management of the respective department including all operational expenses (man‑hour, materials/supplies) and other expenditures. The House Supervisor is an active participant in the design of organizational functions as they affect hospital operations off hours.

What qualifications you will need:

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

(RN) Registered Nurse

Associate Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

1-2 years previous experience in a supervisory capacity

BCLS, Certification in Clinical Specialty preferred; ACLS & PALS within 90 days of hire
