Position Overview
Permanent, full-time position
12-hour shifts
24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds
Heavy telemetry patient population
Ability to float across Med Surg units and ICU (Med Surg overflow patients only)
Supportive, team-oriented clinical environment

Pay range: $31.00 – $47.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to adult Med Surg and telemetry patients
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
Perform neurological assessments and respond to changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Float to other Med Surg units and ICU as needed (Med Surg level patients)
Provide pediatric care only if PALS certified
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
Ensure adherence to patient safety and quality standards
Requirements
Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Required)
Strong neuro and cardiac clinical skills (Required)
Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry settings
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to floating
Licensure & Certifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (Required)
PALS certification (Preferred; required for pediatric assignments)
Unit & Facility Details
24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds
Nurse-to-patient ratios:
Days: 1:5
Nights: 1:6
Pediatrics: 1:4 (based on acuity)
Patient population: Adults and Pediatrics (peds assigned based on certification)
Support staff includes Tele techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
No dedicated IV team
Nurse managers do not take patient assignments but provide oversight and rounding
Hospitalist, Respiratory Therapy, and Pharmacy available 24/7
EMR: Sunrise Allscripts
Scrub color: any color except all black (scrubs not provided)

36-hour weekly guarantee (with up to 3 cancellations)
