Pride Health is hiring an

Emergency Medical Technicians

to support our client’s medical facility based in

San Diego, CA 92154 .

This is a

6-month

opportunity (possibility of extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities

Provide first aid support for occupational and non-occupational injuries.

Minimize injury risk through education and proactive engagement with associates.

Maintain and document all medical records of care provided.

Oversee the workers' compensation program and manage return-to-work processes.

Submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.

Engage with associates on the operations floor, providing coaching on safe work habits and at-risk behaviors.

Maintain a clean medical environment and ensure medical supplies are well-stocked.

Participate in First Aid, CPR, and AED training and maintain certifications.

Assist with drug testing protocols and emergency care delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent

Must have a valid card evidencing successful completion of a First Aid certification, CPR, and AED course from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Must have one of the following

Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health OR the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

In the last year, six months of job experience in the Military as a Combat Medic (U.S. Army), Field Medic (U.S. Army), Healthcare Specialist (U.S. Army), Hospital Corpsman (U.S. Navy), or Aerospace Medical Service Technician (U.S. Air Force).

Current active Athletic Trainer Certification, by either the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent State Certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience with an industrial wellness program

Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on body mechanics

Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation

Additional Information

Job Title: EMT

Training Schedule: Sun-Wed 7:00am-5:30pm for 2 weeks.

Shift Schedule: Sun-Wed 6:00pm-4:30am

Pay Range: $35/hr to $40/hr (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)
