Education Level4 Year Degree* Collaborates with the Manager of Interpretation to implement the Museum’s docent and volunteer program.* Leads public tours and facilitates interpretive experiences as needed.* Coordinates, prints, and binds all Large Print Labels for Special Exhibitions and Permanent Collection galleries.* Supports the Manager of Interpretation in brainstorming, research, prototyping, testing, and implementing experiences for walk-in visitors.* Supports the Manager of Adult Programs to brainstorm, gather supplies, and implement Second Thursday events each month, adult workshops, and exhibition-related programming when applicable.* Collaborates with the Manager of Visitor Experience to assist with visitor surveys, both on- and offsite, and with department reporting related to audience experience goals for educational programming.* Answers visitors’ questions regarding education events and programs by phone or email and connects patrons with Education Managers for more detailed information.* Manages passwords and details for shared accounts accessed by Education staff.* Supports education scheduling as an EventPro Administrator with inquiries pertaining to educational programming.* Participates in a variety of cross-departmental meetings focused on program logistics, goals, and customer service.* Maintains and organizes Education spaces, including art supply storage space and department office supplies, replacing when necessary.* Contributes to the continued development and promotion of the Museum’s mission, vision, values, and brand.* Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive museum information; other duties as assigned.* Serves as the primary staff member responsible for docent coordination and correspondence, communicating regularly and effectively with docents about opportunities and assignments.* Works with the Manager of Interpretation and with the Visitor Experience team to internally coordinate docent and other volunteer scheduling, including managing shifts on the Museum’s master calendar and ensuring these experiences are published on the Museum’s public-facing event platform.* Assists the Manager of Interpretation with logistics related to docent and volunteer training, including preparing and gathering resources and refreshments and recording and distributing training materials.* Conducts observation and evaluations for docent-led tours and exhibition host interactions.## Qualifications**Qualifications/Education** * B.A. degree or equivalent; art history, art education, studio art, or related field; degree in active progress is considered* One to three years’ experience working with a wide range of audiences in an organized setting.**Other Job Requirements** * Successful completion of Background Check and pre-employment drug screen* Available to work Saturdays and the second Thursday of each month on a regular basis and evenings as scheduled.* Smartphone required.
