Assistant Clinical Manager – Medical/Surgical Oncology
Full time, 40 hours per week, primarily off‑shift (off‑shift, evenings, nights).
Location:
Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital.
Under the supervision of the Director/Nurse Manager, the Assistant Clinical Manager assumes a clinical and management role. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing patient care services within the department, developing and monitoring budgets, quality improvement programs, staffing levels, goals, objectives, regulatory compliance, policies, and evaluating and disciplining personnel.
Plan, organize, and direct patient care services within the department.
Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets.
Lead quality improvement programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and labor management.
Evaluate, coach, and discipline personnel.
Manage throughput, patient flow, and discharge planning.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Two years RN experience.
Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
BCLS/ACLS certification per unit’s standard.
3–5 years of Acute Care Nursing experience with a strong preference for Med‑Surg and/or Oncology background.
Previous charge nurse, lead RN, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in staffing, scheduling, labor management, coaching, performance management, staff development, throughput, patient flow, and discharge planning.
