
Medical Receptionist

FreedomDocs is looking for a Receptionist to join our team in our medical office.
Qualifications Required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to manage and multitask
Great attention to detail
Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, processes, and office procedures
Role and Responsibilities
Acting as Host to a premier Direct Primary Care in central Indiana
Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner ensuring they have a positive experience
Providing ideas and recommendations on improving brand experience
Obtaining, verifying, and entering all required information from patients including demographic, insurance, credit cards, FAA documents and class
Providing information about the facility's services, policies, and procedures
Scanning and indexing incoming documents to the patient's Elation chart or company filing system
Providing positive and courteous customer service over the phone, while maintaining a professional presence at all times
Filling where needed to assure excellent member experience
All other duties as assigned
Essential Duties
Managing the appointment and Google “out of office” calendar
Answering telephone/retrieving messages from Spruce promptly and professionally
Maintaining the waiting area by providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for new and returning patients
Scheduling office appointments in computer system
Collecting copayments and processing all incoming payments
Organizing and maintaining patient medical records
Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and other administration staff
Notifying appropriate internal personnel in case of emergencies or urgent situations
Coordinating physician communications with members, other providers, or outside constituents as directed by in-house doctors or Clinical Office Manager
