We have an exciting opportunity for a Multimodality Technologist (Wells Branch Free Standing ED) at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare.
Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Multi-modality Technologist you will perform x‑ray and CT exams in accordance with standards set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the Radiology Department policies. You will demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and disease processes, patient care, positioning, radiation protection, quality assurance, and specialized techniques while adhering to corporate radiation safety policies.
Responsibilities
Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric.
Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
Operate CT scanners (any models) and related equipment efficiently.
Complete quality scans in a timely manner, prioritizing workflow for STAT and urgent demands while maintaining OP customer standards.
Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients; modify positioning and scanning factors as needed.
Show knowledge of disease processes and produce studies that optimally identify related anatomy.
Operate the power injector and verbalize limits of use.
Tailor exams to the age, size, weight, and special needs of patients.
Complete required documentation on forms, logs, workstation, and Meditech.
Assist the radiologist during invasive procedures, ensuring supplies are available.
Ensure CT and department equipment functions properly.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree – required.
One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
One year experience performing CT procedures – required.
Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross‑sectional anatomy.
Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per hospital policy.
Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT CT).
