Tiny Town Childcare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher and Opener to join our team. This position involves both teaching responsibilities and the opening duties of the center. The ideal candidate will have experience working with infants and young children, a love for early childhood education, and the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Infant Teacher
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for infants (6 weeks – 12 months), focusing on sensory activities, early language development, motor skills, and emotional development.
Foster a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for infants and ensure that their needs (physical, emotional, and developmental) are met.
Observe and document children’s development, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress.
Build positive, trusting relationships with families, including providing updates and addressing any concerns.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and consistency in care.
Assist in setting and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness within the classroom.
Opener Responsibilities
Arrive early to prepare the classroom, ensuring that it is clean, safe, and ready for the children’s arrival.
Greet children and parents with a positive and warm demeanor as they enter the center.
Set up breakfast or morning snacks, if applicable, and assist in the early morning routines.
Ensure the center is opened in compliance with all licensing regulations and that safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education (ECE) degree or certification preferred.
Must have experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children, parents, and team members.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a high standard of care.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and be able to bend, stoop, and sit on the floor as necessary to care for children.
The position requires standing, walking, and occasional running for safety purposes.
