Description
Serve as an Overnight Camp Counselor for Summer 2026, leading and caring for small groups of campers ages 6–17 in a Christ-centered camp environment. Counselors are responsible for supervising campers throughout daily activities, meals, worship, and overnight stays, while fostering a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching experience. This role includes leading Bible studies, facilitating activities such as swimming, hiking, and team-building, and helping create a positive, inclusive community where campers can grow in faith and confidence.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a strong Christian faith and a willingness to share and grow in that faith with others. Candidates must be able to relate well to children and youth, demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills, and thrive in a team-oriented, community living environment. Physical readiness for outdoor camp conditions (including heat, activity, and lifting up to 50 lbs) is required. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), sound judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to integrity and professionalism are essential. A Level II background check is required upon hire.

Interested candidates should review the staff page online and complete the camp’s online interest form to be considered for a Summer 2026 position. Applicants should be able to commit to a minimum of 5 weeks at camp, serving from Sunday afternoon to Friday evenings each week from June 1 to July 3. No experience necessary; extensive training is provided. Additional optional certifications (such as lifeguarding or challenge course training) are available and may expand opportunities for employment. Room and board is provided.
