This full-time opportunity at Valle Vista offers 40 hours per week, full benefits, and a 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm schedule providing care on our adolescent unit. There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

Position Summary
Mental Health Technicians provide direct care and supervision for residents, ensure residents are kept safe, learn and practice appropriate hygiene and self-help skills, and are aware of rules and expectations. Act as a role model for residents, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision‑making skills. Assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the residents, transporting residents to and from medical appointments, and ensuring scheduled programming is carried out. Perform duties as assigned in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards. Mental Health Technicians report to the Unit Coordinator under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
Experience:
Six months to one year of experience working with a behavioral health in‑patient population preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Work Hours:
Evenings 3:00 p – 11:30 p
