Job Details
Pay: $18.45 an hour. Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Minimum rehire waiting period: 180 days. Limited to a maximum of 3 previous employments with Tyson Foods.
Responsibilities
The Machine Attendant is responsible for setting up and tearing down all equipment required to run a given product.
Must understand and be trained on all safety related responsibilities, including proper use of lockout/tagout program, pinch points, and proper ergonomics.
Must read product specification sheets to ensure proper packaging usage and label formatting, and communicate daily issues and needs with management, maintenance, packaging leads, warehouse, and label makers.
Maintain proper operating speeds and troubleshoot minor equipment problems.
Notify maintenance and supervision if assistance is needed with troubleshooting equipment problems or more complex issues.
Perform all product packaging duties.
Perform repetitive motion on a consistent and steady basis.
Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Lift up to 50 lbs when required.
Work in extreme temperatures ranging from 39°F to 90°F for up to 8–10 hours a day.
Cleans area routinely before leaving for breaks.
Report all possible deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety.
Physical Requirements
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
At least 6 months of work history with the same employer for the past 24 months.
Basic computer skills to load label formats.
