
CHARGE NURSE-PER DIEM

Responsibilities
Charge Nurse (RN)
Shift available: AM 7:00 am-7:30 pm, NOC 7:00 pm-7:30 am
BHC Alhambra Hospital is located in Rosemead, California. Our 115‑bed facility established in 1924 serves children, adolescents and adults with psychiatric, substance abuse and eating disorder treatment.
The Charge Nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaboration with health team members and in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care.
Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment and patient interview within eight hours of admission.
Document patient information and nursing care.
Document and reassess any significant changes in the patient’s condition in compliance with facility policy.
Delegate staff assignments based on patient needs.
Make daily patient care assignments based on staff competency.
Supervise nursing staff to assure timely completion of patient ADLs.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years as a registered nurse in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
License: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
