Overview
PharMerica is hiring full‑time Pharmacy Technicians in Raleigh, NC. PharMerica is a non‑retail pharmacy focused on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long‑term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide.

Schedule
Monday – Friday 12:00pm–8:30pm with alternating Saturdays.

North Carolina license required within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Fill prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy.

Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.

Participate in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.

Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out‑of‑date items from the inventory.

Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non‑sterile compounding.

Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.

Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.

Assist in the training of new employees.

Perform at least one of the following:
Work in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room;

Work with automated machine to prepack drugs;

Manage inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identify expired medications, managing to the pharmacy standard for Days on Hand;

Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry);

Mix/package IV medications, sanitize IV room, equipment, and hood.

Service facility‑based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).

Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology. Ability to operate a computer, to recognize and identify medications. Detail oriented; goal oriented; team player; effective oral communication. Pharmacy Technician license (as required by state).

Desired: Long‑Term Care pharmacy experience & National Pharmacy Technician License.
