Technologist – Podiatry
Job Description
This role supports a busy outpatient podiatry and orthopedic practice by performing radiologic imaging, updating and managing patient information in the EMR, and delivering compassionate bedside care. The technologist works closely with physicians and other technologists to ensure accurate imaging, smooth clinic flow, and a positive experience for every patient, with opportunities to train in additional modalities and advance professionally within a growing practice.
Responsibilities
Update and maintain accurate patient information in the Athena EMR system.
Use the Care Flow scheduling system to support efficient patient scheduling and workflow.
Provide attentive, compassionate bedside care and clearly explain procedures to patients.
Clarify and follow physicians’ orders to ensure appropriate imaging and patient care.
Scan and upload required information and images into the PACS system.
Perform radiologic imaging for outpatient, orthopedic, podiatry, physical therapy, and related cases, as appropriate to training and credentials.
Obtain patient information and chart notes needed to support fluoroscopy procedures.
Maintain exam room cleanliness and organization after exams and procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations at all times.
Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual quality control procedures as required.
Collaborate with physicians and fellow technologists to support a smooth, high-volume outpatient workflow.
Assist at other podiatry locations as needed to support patient care and imaging coverage.
Essential Skills
Current ARRT certification in radiologic technology.
Current BLS certification.
Demonstrated radiology experience in an outpatient or similar clinical setting.
Proficiency with PACS for scanning and managing imaging data.
Strong bedside manner with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients.
Ability to handle a high daily volume of patients while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Knowledge of and adherence to safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
Ability to perform and document daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual quality control procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using Athena or another electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Experience with fluoroscopy procedures.
Experience or training in medical assisting.
Familiarity with outpatient podiatry, orthopedic, or physical therapy environments.
Interest in cross-training in additional imaging modalities to support career growth.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple technologists and physicians.

Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $44.00/hr.
