Job Summary
Join a large commercial and industrial innovation campus as a High Voltage Electrian responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining high voltage electrical systems (15kV & 69kV). In this role, you’ll support safe and reliable operations across substations, feeders, transformers, and campus wide power systems, ensuring uninterrupted service on a fast moving, high energy site.

Location: Princeton, NJ (Commercial/Industrial Campus)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm (2nd Shift)
Employment Type: Full Time, Non Exempt
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on high voltage power systems including substations, relays, transformers, feeders, and switchgear.
Inspect, service, and install electrical wiring, cables, fixtures, outlets, panels, and power circuits across commercial and industrial buildings.
Troubleshoot electrical failures, respond to emergencies, and correct breakdowns to ensure continuous system reliability.
Operate test instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to assess system performance.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications to complete installations and repairs.
Repair and maintain motors, generators, pumps, controllers, signal systems, and related electrical components.
Monitor ongoing work to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify hazards such as fire risks or faulty components.
Manage, organize, and safeguard electrical tools, materials, and supplies; submit requisitions when inventory needs replenishment.
Utilize electronic CMMS platforms for work order entry, status updates, documentation, and inventory tracking.
Support campus wide electrical operations specifically during 2nd shift across a multi building industrial environment.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience with industrial or commercial high voltage systems
Ability to work full 2nd shift schedule (3pm-11pm)
Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools (ammeters, voltmeters, etc.)
Ability to read and work from electrical diagrams and system schematics
Preferences
OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification
NFPA training or certifications
Experience using a CMMS for work orders and inventory
Previous work on 15kV or 69kV equipment
Background in large commercial or industrial facilities
