The Assembler is responsible for producing and assembling machine parts according to specifications.
Shift / Hours
1st Shift 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Compensation
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $19.67 to $26.22 per hour. The exact rate may depend on your skills, experience, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Essential Functions
Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts, partially or completely, in an accurate and timely fashion.
Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners, using hand tools.
May remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce fit between parts.
May operate drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines or other mechanical devices to assist in assembly operation.
May inspect and test assembly.

Required
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
1 year of related experience
Mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and to make metric system conversions
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Preferred
3 years of related experience

Hear by perceiving the nature of sounds by ear
Judge distances and spatial relationships (see objects three‑dimensionally)
Adjust vision to bring objects into sharp focus
Identify and distinguish colors
A worker in this job will frequently (from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time):
Reach by extending hands and arms
Handle objects by seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hands
Pick, pinch, or otherwise work primarily with fingers
Have near acuity with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
